Schnoog - the label,
that captivates ...

SCHNOOG, the label that stings, has been in safe hands since 1984: as SCHNOOG RÄCKORTS, it promptly set the
first LP release of the fresh out of the baptism
upscale labels that had focused on songwriters and handmade, acoustic - i.e. honest music without electronic frills -
the prize of the German record critics/quarterly list!

And who was the performer? Gerd Birsner, the "record boss" himself. "Dreikäsehochs und Luftiküsse" is the title of the 1984 LP. A number of productions were initially recorded under adventurous conditions in the "Wohnzimmer-Sound-Brauerei" in the Gaulgasse in Offenbach an der Queich in the southern Palatinate and later in the more honorable Schnoog recording studio in the old half-timbered house on Hanauer Straße in Rheinau-Diersheim.

Production is still going on here, albeit no longer with the intensity and youthful vigor of the late-adolescent record bosses of the eighties and nineties of the last century.

A number of productions have been published by Schnoog Musikverlag, and more than 100 CDs have been released on the SCHNOOG label. In addition to the Schnoog label (LC 8992), we have also released sound carriers under the AliBi, Aprés Midi, Schlaffohr and Rheingold labels.
